Happy Hour Show
Dave White

Nothing like writing about yourself in the third person. Feel like I'm on Seinfeld...
A self-proclaimed "NASCAR junkie", Dave has followed the sport intensely since attending his first race at Michigan International Speedway in 1992. Since then, he has seen races from Daytona, Indianapolis, Michigan, Milwaukee, IRP, and Chicagoland Speedway. Dave lived in Indianapolis during the time a young man named Jeff Gordon was beginning his career at the short track level. That's how he became and still is Dave’s favorite driver.
Dave considers his father the main influence for getting him interested in racing, despite the fact his dad prefers the NHRA over NASCAR. Dave has freelanced for a number of racing publications in the past and has now settled into radio production at WSCR 670, “The Score” in Chicago, the Midwest's largest sports radio station. In addition to being a co-host on "Happy Hour", Dave writes a weekly blog for 670TheScore.com on NASCAR. Dave and his wife Adrienne have a daughter, Madeline, and reside in the Western Suburbs of Chicago.
Brian Lynch

Well, I am the “burden of the breaks” on the show… I am the producer of Happy Hour and I have only started to get into the groove of NASCAR Racing. It was when I saw my first NASCAR race in person two years ago that really started the interest going. When I am not badgering Mike and Dave to break from the show, or handing out trivia questions that make Dave’s head hurt, I am working for US99.5 as producer of the Mid-day show with Trish Biondo.
I grew up in Park Ridge, IL and for fourteen years of my life, I called it home. My freshman year in high school, our family picked up and moved. I don’t know what I miss most, the fact that everything was walking distance, or that there were a heck of a lot more people to talk to.
After high school, I went to various colleges that didn’t quite have the majors that I wanted. So after a few years, I finally found Columbia College in Chicago and earned my B.A. in Radio. Finally, a school that has a specific radio major! I would like to take this opportunity to thank Columbia for everything that they have done for me! While I was at Columbia, I was fortunate to get my job at WUSN-FM. Throughout the years, I have learned so much and Mike came to me with the idea that I join in on a show that was called “Happy Hour”. How could I resist the opportunity to be on the air in a big city like Chicago! It was only supposed to be for the one day, but then it grew to being a more permanent position on the show and I would not trade it for anything. We have had a great time and looking forward to many more great moments to come!
Mike Peterson

My name is Mike Peterson, I’m from the western suburbs of Chicago. I have been watching and around racing my whole life. I went to my first race when I was 5 years old in Springfield, Illinois for a USAC dirt race and fell in love right then and there. Racing has been around my family my whole life. My father and grandfather are really big into all types of racing; Nascar, Indycar, USAC, World of Outlaws and NHRA. The first Nascar race I attended was in 2001 when Chicagoland Speedway opened its doors. Going to any type of race is an exciting experience. For me I would love to go to a dirt track every weekend and have the dirt flying all around me. Race tracks I have been to are; Chicagoland Speedway, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Eldora Speedway in Ohio. My favorite Nascar drivers are Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman and Kyle Busch. Thank again for listening to our little radio show!
